Baker Beach is the place to be to have one of the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge and nearby Marin Headlands. If you want to enjoy your time on a nude beach, you can simply head to the north end of the beach where nudity is allowed. This dune-covered beach is not the perfect place to go swimming due to its dangerous currents. On a sunny day, bring in your whole family, come early and grab one of the popular picnic areas to enjoy some peaceful moments. Overall, Baker Beach has to be one of the best California beaches.
Cowell is a marvelous California beach for many different reasons. It has 15 volleyball courts and friendly waves for newbie surfers. As the beach is very close to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, you will see quite a good number of beach goers and newbie surfers on the beach. If you are interested in learning to surf, you can’t ask for a better place than Cowell Beach to do so in California. During the summer, the beach gets so crowded that parking becomes impossible.
Del Mar City Beach
This beach has a good combination of everything. It is a place for a family beach vacation as it has two great picnic areas. Del Mar City Beach is also good for intermediate surf and swimming. Just like many other beaches in this list, parking can be very challenging.
